Bingo at the Brunswick House
Wednesday, January 21st…Brunswick House Bingo Games start for 2015…Doors Open at 6:30pm with the First Game Starting at 7pm. Admission is $10 which covers All Cards for the evening. Cash prizes with a $125 Jackpot Game!
All proceeds are donated to local charities. In 2014, $2,500 was donated to Brunswick Family Assistance, Calabash Fire Department, Lower Cape fear Hospice, the Calabash Lions Club, and the Bible Study Back to School Program. Brunswick Plantation Bible Study
Wednesday, January 21st at 4pm…At the Home of Mary Beth Smith is the first meeting of the New Year for the Brunswick Plantation Bible Study. A Study by Kyle Idleman called “Not a Fan” consists of six sessions with a 30 minute DVD followed by group discussion of questions presented. Come Join Us…For a lively discussion that is Bible based. All are Invited!

“Wonderful Night of Chocolate” Hosted by: Your Brunswick Plantation Social Committee
Please Plan to Join Us…On Sunday, February 15th beginning at 7:30pm at The Brunswick House! Enjoy a “Night of Chocolate” and other Desserts with our own DJ, Jim Bruno playing music and dance requests until 10pm. The cost for this evening of Fun, Friendship and Wonderful Desserts is $5 Per person payable with cash Or your check made out to BPPOA now thru February 11th and payable at the Facilitator’s Office.
Guests to bring their own table snacks and beverages as only Coffee/Tea will be provided with the desserts. With Ash Wednesday marking the beginning of Lent on the 18th of February, this may be your last chance before Easter to splurge on those desserts that you are planning to give up for Lent. So, if you didn’t take your best gal or guy out for dinner and dessert on Valentine’s Day, why not come out and meet your Friends and Perhaps even a few New Neighbors! A Minimum of 40 guests is required for sign-up no later than February 11th to avoid cancellation of this event. Please Make Note…No Refunds given after February 11th with the exception that the event is canceled.
Ladies Only Oscar Party
Sunday, February 22, 2015 at 6:30pm…Join the Ladies at the Brunswick House for the 7pm Broadcast of the Oscar Party! There is No Charge for this Event, but we do ask that you bring snacks to share and, of course, your own beverages.
Since most of the guys could care less about the Oscars and at home the ladies usually wind up watching the show in the “other” room by themselves…Why not make a Night of It and join the rest of the Gals for Really Fun Evening?! If you wish, Glam It Up as if you are going to the Oscars…Or Dress for Comfort in your Favorite PJ’s! Either way, please call the Facilitator’s Office to sign up so that we know how many are expected.

The Streetreach program is in need of single size shampoos, soaps, conditioners, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc. for the clients they serve. One church opens its doors once a week for showers and the single size items work best. Please leave your donations in the basket provided. Thank You! Kathy Mazei
Brunswick Plantation Fitness With Friends
Indoor Walking program on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, & Saturday at 8am in the Brunswick House…With a variety of different DVD sessions so the work is varied. Some sessions include the use of bands or weights but are not a necessity to gain a rally great cardio workout.A New year calls for a New & Improved You! If you would like some help with that, why not join our Indoor Walking Program? We’d Love to have you! ***Please call Emily Bonneau if you would like additional info Or to be added to the class distribution list so you can be kept informed as to changes/class cancellations.***

Yoga Offerings for 2015
Thursday Gentle Yoga at 10am at the Brunswick House Ballroom. This is a gentle class suitable for Every Body, with no pressure on wrists or knees.This class includes setting an intention or affirmation, lining breath to movement, and stretching to imporve mobility and flexibility. All poses are done seated, supine, or standing to improve muscle tone, balance, strength, and stability. Classes end with along Savasana (Final relaxation) leaving you renewed, relaxed, and vibrant. Modifications will be offered as needed.
Saturday, Vinyasa Yoga at 10am at the Brunswick House Ballroom. This mixed level class is suitable for both beginner and experienced yogis, recommended for those individuals with few or no physical limitations (Some modifications are available). This is a Fun class including Creative Flow, while linking movement to breath as well as longer holds to build strength, flexibility, and endurance. This class will include Sun Salutations and is considered a vigorous workout by some. Classes will be held on 1/10, 1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7, 2/21, 3/7, 3/14, and 3/28.

Brunswick Plantation offers a water aerobics class…Monday, Wednesday, Friday, & Saturday mornings. Mon., Wed., & Fri. Classes meet at 8am – 9am AND Sat. Class meets at 8:30 – 9:30am. All classes are held at the Brunswick House Pools, Indoors for Now, and Outdoors by Mid-May, weather permitting!
If you have tried land aerobics or other similar movements and just couldn’t keep up Or found that shoulders, back, knees, or hips couldn’t take the strain…Try Water Aerobics! These are low-impact movements that exercise your core, promote better balance, stretch and work muscles, and give you a good workout, without potential damage. Classes are taught by a certified instructor who shows you how to do each move, and work all parts of the body.

Steve Chapin Concert

The Steve Chapin Concert…Featuring: Steve Chapin, Jennah Barry, Liam Frier, & Jonathan Chapin
Steve Chapin, Harry Chapin’s brother, was Harry’s producer/keyboard player until Harry’s death in 1981. Harry’s big hits were “Taxi” and “Cats in the Cradle” which made him an instant success in the early 70’s. Many folks at Brunswick Plantation may remember Harry from his personal performances in New York!
Jennah Barry is a singer, songwriter, and musician from South Shore, Nova Scotia. Jennah has a fantastic voice and specializes in singing Old Standards and often performs with Steve Chapin and The Steve Chapin Band.
Liam Frier is a talented musician with Jennah’s Band.
Jonathan Chapin is Steve Chapin’s son and a talented musician who also performs in the Steve Chapin Band.
The Group are on Tour in North Carolina and sing Harry’s favorites plus songs by Steve and other singers.
