Ryder Cup Tournament
BPMGA Ryder Cup Tournament was played on the 9th, 10th, and 11th of September. 72 members registered for the competition and were divided into two teams: Blue for the North & Red for the South. The first day the South was losing, but rose victorious on the second and third. Pictured are the teams at their luncheon in the Brunswick House.
Approximately 50 Wounded Warriors, their care-givers and Warrior Ride Staff will stay here a Brunswick Plantation on the 16th & 17th of October. John McGinley and his committee will provide an early breakfast at the 19th Hole on the 17th and a Gala Dinner at the Brunswick House that evening, where 70 Brunswick Plantation residents and friends will be joining them.
Wednesday, October 15, is the date for the next Bingo Games at the Brunswick House. As usual, the doors open at 6:30pm & the games start at 7pm. There will be 12 games played with cash prizes. Top prize for the full card game is $125. Contributions of $10 covers all games for the evening. All proceeds go to local charities. Beverages are available and there is FREE POPCORN!
All residents & their guests are invited to attend the showing of the Academy Award winning movie “12 Years a Slave” on Wednesday, October 29th at 7pm. There is No Charge to attend but you are asked to sign up so that we know how many seats to have set up ahead of time. Bring your own smacks & beverages.

Calling All Those Who Like To Bake!
In addition to your favorite pie, cake, cookie, muffin, and loaf, we will sell certain cookies by the piece & are asking specifically for chocolate chip cookies, Oatmeal cookies, blondies, brownies with nuts and brownies without nuts. The feedback from last year’s sale was overwhelmingly positive, with many remarks on how delicious all your baked items tasted! Halloween Party Planned
The Social Committee is planning a Halloween Dance for all residents & their guests to be held on Friday, October 31st between 7:30 – 10:30 pm. The cost Per person is $5 with guests bringing their personal beverage of choice as only water/coffee/tea will be provided.
Masks and/or costumes are encouraged but will not be necessary for you to enjoy an evening with friends & neighbors for dancing, table snacks, & deserts that will be provided.
Reservations can be made with your cash payment, or with checks made out to the BPPOA now through October 27th at the Facilitator’s office. PLEASE NOTE: No refunds will be issued after October 27th. Hope to see you there!

The date for this year’s home cooked Italian Dinner is Saturday, November 8th beginning at 6pm in the Brunswick House ballroom!

Brunswick Plantation International Dinner Group
Enjoy dining out with Friends & Neighbors trying different foods from Around the World? The Brunswick Plantation International Dinner Group want you to join them for Food and Fun among Friends!
They want you to know that they are NOT a Gourmet group. There are currently about 40 people who live at Brunswick Plantation who enjoy sharing their homes with up to 8 other people once a year. Each couple in the group gets to prepare the main part of a theme dinner with their guests bringing theme appetizers or desserts. For the remaining 3 dinners per year, each couple will be guests at the home of someone else. All residents of BP are Welcome to Join or ask to be a substitute guest to see what it is really like before you commit to hosting. Please call: Elaine Flowers or Emily Bonneau for information.
HOLLY BERRY TRAIL Update
HOLLY BERRY TRAIL at Brunswick Plantation is scheduled for December 8th between 7 & 9pm & is sure to delight you with sweet treats! This is a FUN Raiser with 100% of ticket sales going to charity. Brunswick Plantation YOGA
Thursday Gentle Yoga at 10am
This is a gentle class suitable for Every Body. This class includes setting an intention or affirmation, linking breath to movement and stretching to improve Mobility & Flexibility. It also includes a strong standing series to improve Balance, Strength, & Stability. Modifications will be offered as needed.
Classes will be held on 10/16… 10/23…10/30…11/6…11/13… 11/20…12/4…12/11 and 12/18.
This is a mixed level class suitable for both beginner and experienced yogis. This is a Fun Class that will include a creative flow while linking movement to breath as well as longer holds to build Strength and Flexibility. This class will include Sun Salutations and is considered a vigorous workout by some. This class is recommended for those individuals with few or no physical limitations. (Some modifications are available.)

Studies have shown that Yoga can help lower resting heart rate and blood pressure; increase circulation, metabolism, balance, flexibility, & range of motion; improve joint function, brain functions, & mental clarity; decrease stress, & increase connection of Body, Mind, & Spirit.

Brunswick Plantation offers water aerobics class every morning except Sunday. If you’ve tried land aerobics or other similar movements and just couldn’t keep up, or found that shoulders, back, knees, or hips couldn’t take the strain, try water aerobics. These are low-impact movements that exercise your core, promote better balance, stretch & work muscles, and give a good workout, without potential damage. Classes are taught by certified instructors who show you how to do each move, and work all parts of the body.
Monday, Wednesday, & Friday classes meet 8 -9am… Tuesday, Thursday, & Saturday classes meet 8:39 – 9:30am.
