Brunswick Plantation Community 4th of July Parade
Parade begins at 9am on Friday, July 4th starting at North Middleton & Beauvior Drive…Turning left on Beauvior and continues to N.Middleton, where the parade will end.
Attention All Parade Participants…
Please arrive at 8:30 am to get in line for the parade.
Cars in the parade will line up on Chatham Ct. in Savannah Greens N. Motorcycles, Golf Carts, bicycles, & walkers will line up on N. Middleton and will follow the cars in the parade.
Folks with ELKS & Knights of Columbus, please line up at the entrance of Moultrie. You will be with the walkers. Wounded Warriors also line up at the entrance of Moultrie and will be placed accordingly. After the parade, please stop by the Meckling’s at 1054 Beauvior Drive for Refreshments!

Annual Model Train Show at Brunswick Plantation
The Intracoastal Model Railroad Club (IMMRRC) is announcing its annual Model Train Show at The Brunswick House on Brunswick Plantation on Saturday, July 12th & Sunday, July 13th…10am – 4pm each day.
The IMMRRC is a Brunswick Plantation service club non-profit subsidiary that includes members from across Brunswick County.
The Train Show will include:

Servicing suggestions for locomotives you may have that don’t run.

Three of the Club’s Toy Train Layouts are highly interactive and designed to allow children to operate the fascinating coal & log handling accessories along with a scrap iron crane & barrel loading facility. Children are fascinated by these old but superbly animated toys!

NIS Children’s Book Drive
Once again it’s time to encourage Brunswick County’s young readers! Beginning on July 1, 2014…Neighbors In Service (NIS) will be collecting new and gently used books for ages 1 through high school.
Please share your joy of reading with our future generation…A Gift to Treasure! A Collection Box will be available in the Brunswick House Lobby throughout the month of July.
All books collected will be provided to the Brunswick County Literacy Council for disbursement to young readers! Thanks You for your anticipated generous support!

NIS Charity Game Day
Neighbors In Service (NIS) will host its largest charity fundraiser lunch and games on Tuesday, July 22 from 11am until 3pm at Ryan’s Restaurant, 3607 Highway 17, North Myrtle Beach.
Cost for lunch & games is $15. All proceeds from the lunch will benefit NIS’s 2014 Charities. There will be drawings for prizes & cash during the event.
All are Welcome to attend this lunch and game day. Invite your friends to form your tables, and bring your games. Attendees must purchase their lunch through the Facilitator’s Office by July 10. Checks should be made payable to NIS. Let’s make this the “Best Game Day” Ever!
Drawing Classes by Lola Jackson
Lola Jackson, a well-known artist & instructor in drawing & painting mediums, would like to offer a drawing class here at Brunswick Plantation.
Some of Lola’s work is on display at The Red House Specialty Shops in Shallotte. Check out Lola Art Classes on Facebook or search the web for Lola Art Classes at the beach. Classes are 3 hours each for a cost of only $11 per class, paid on a monthly basis. This class would be held on Monday mornings from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm. Class start date To Be Determined. Helping The Homeless
These are vets, seniors, unemployed, children our of foster care, etc. These people need our help. Please bring to the Brunswick House any hotel size shampoo, soap, lotions, etc. collected during your travels. They are in need of these small size items. It would be greatly appreciated. There is a container outside the Brunswick House Facilitator’s Office. Thanks so Much!

Band of OZ Concert
The 19th Hole at Brunswick Plantation Presents: “The Band of Oz” on Tuesday, June 24th…6pm – 9pm! The venue is on the Driving Range at Brunswick Plantation and Golf Resort. The concert is Open to the Public… Everyone is Invited to bring your lawn chair & appetites and Join the Fun!
Tickets are $12 per person & can be picked up at the 19th Hole prior to the show. (No refunds will be given after June 14th.)

June Yoga Schedule
Thursday Yoga 10am
This will be a continuation of the classes previously held at the Brunswick House using the same style and level of yoga. This is a super gentle class with no stress on the joints, Focus will be on gentle stretching while linking breath to movement. An extra-long Savasana (final rest) will leave you feeling totally relaxed.
Saturday Vinyasa Yoga 10:30am (No Class on June 21st)
This is a mixed level class suitable for both beginner & experienced yogis. This is a Fun class that will include a creative flow while linking movement to breathe as well as longer holds to build strength and flexibility. This class will include Sun Salutations and is considered a vigorous workout by some. This class is recommended for those individuals with few or no physical limitations (some modifications are available). Cost is $5 Per Class. All classes are subject to room availability. Brunswick Plantation offers daily water aerobics at the Brunswick House every morning except Sunday.
Water aerobics are low-impact movements that exercise your core, promote better balance, stretch and work muscles, and give a good workout, without potential damage.
Classes are taught by certified instructors who show you how to do each move and work all parts of the body. Water Aerobics Classes Meet:
Mon., Wed., & Fri. 8-9am
Tues., Thurs. & Sat. 8:30 – 9:30am

Indoor Walking Program
As part of the Social Committee’s FREE EXERCISE PROGRAM, new DVD’s have arrived and offer a wide variety of indoor walking routines.
