Brunswick Plantation and Golf Resort Welcomes You… To The Intracoastal Christmas Regatta…Yachts for Tots, A “Traditional Holiday Kick-off” on the waterway in Little River and North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Each year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving (November 30th in 2013) , the curtain rises on a spectacular “Maritime Parade” at the Little River Inlet at 5pm and travels south , arriving at Dock Holidays Marina at 7 pm.
Gather your family and friends and watch the parade of boats decorated by their owners in seasonal splendor! You may view the Regatta from several locations along the waterway from Little River Inlet to Doc Holidays Marina. Several restaurants along the parade route plan special menus and events as part of the celebration! You might want to reserve a spot at your favorite eating place now….Just to be sure!
“Yachts for Tots” is an important theme of the parade. Please remember to…BE SURE TO TAKE A TOY to Drop off at a Collection Point @ Any Marina in Little River or North Myrtle Beach. With your donations of unwrapped toys and/or monetary offerings, we want to make sure that there is not a single child in Horry County without a present to open on Christmas morning!
You may offer your support for the “Parade of Boats Dressed Up for Christmas” by being anywhere on the shore of the Intracoastal Waterway between Little River and 13th Avenue North in N. Myrtle Beach. Bring your thermos of hot chocolate and gloves! Boats compete for $1,000 prize!
“Christmas Regatta” Cruise
The Barefoot Princess Riverboat invites you to be a part of the annual Intracoastal Christmas Regatta. The boat departs from Barefoot Landing & takes part in the Grand Strand’s most popular boat parade.
Boarding will begin @ 3:15 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30th for the Barefoot Princess Riverboat. The boat will depart @ 3:45 p.m. & Will return around 8 p.m.

U.S. Marine Corps Reserve “Toys for Tots” Program
“Toys for Tots” boxes are located in the Brunswick House @ Brunswick Plantation and Golf Resort, as well as various places throughout Calabash and other near-by communities in the Carolinas. It is an international program sponsored by the Marine Corps Reserves.
Begun as early as 1947 by Major Bill Hendricks, USMCR in Los Angeles, California, it expanded into a nationwide community action project in 1948. That year Walt Disney designed the now famous “Toys for Tots train logo & created the national “Toys for Tots” Poster!
Mission: The Mission of the US Marine Corps Reserve “Toys for Tots” is to collect new unwrapped toys during the months of Oct., Nov., and Dec. each year , and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
Goal: The primary goal of the”Toys for Tots” is to deliver, through a new toy for Christmas, a “Message of Hope” to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
Objectives: To help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the “Joy of Christmas”; To play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – Our Children; to unite members of local communities in a common cause.
The Marines State that: Today’s Children are Tomorrow’s Leaders…Civic, Business, & Social. Alarmingly, approximately 13 million American children live in poverty. “Toys for Tots” is one vehicle for addressing the issue of poverty among children.
DYK…Upon conclusion of the 2012 campaign, “Toys for Tots” had distributed nearly 16.8 million toys to more than 7 million children!
