FAITH, HOPE AND CHARITY … AND THE GREATEST OF THESE IS CHARITY”
“FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE… AND THE GREATEST OF THESE IS LOVE
I found in preparing my Blog about Charity that “Charity” and “Love” are interchangeable…
Depending on which edition of the Bible you read.
The greatness of “Charity” and “Love” are explained in the following ways…
*They are important to the welfare of others
*Wider in influence necessary to the happiness of society
*Bind the universe in “Harmony”
*Unites the Creator and the creature
A Confucious Quote also states:
“He who wished to secure the good of others, has already secured his own.”
I was given a gift with a quote by Henry Drummond:
“You will find as you look back upon your life that the moments when you have truly lived are the moments when you have done things in the spirit of love.”
So, it seems pretty international that “Giving to others”…Charity is an act of Love!
I am seeing these “Acts of Charity and Love” in practice at Brunswick Plantation and throughout the community in Brunswick County.

The Brunswick Plantation Ladies Golf Association recently (November 12 ,2012)presented Mason Anderson a plaque Stating:
In Appreciation of your continued support of our “CLOSE TO HOME” Golf Tournament and charity events. Your generosity helped us exceed our $50,000 pledge to Lower Cape Fear Hospice” Life Care Centers building Fund.
The BPLGA held two charity events, raising $21,100, this year. The various events were co-chaired by Mary Ellen Naeker and Evelyn Claus. The first event, A Taste Of Brunswick – Encore, held on June 10 was chaired by Sue Sadlon.

The second event was an annual GOLF TOURNAMENT on September 26. Mason Anderson , President, Brunswick Plantation and Golf Resort, and his partners, Jimmy McLamb and Tripp Sloane, donated half of the golf course fees for this event. 167 golfers participated and supported the event through 50/50 chances, raffle tickets, a silent auction and buying mulligans. A MEMORY CIRCLE chaired by Wanda Krasniewicz , offered residents a means to honor loved ones who have passed away with yellow flags placed around the fountain in front of the Brunswick “Plantation” Clubhouse. Additionally, funds were raised for the Hole and cart sponsorships chaired by Everlyn Claus.
SECU Hospice House opened in July. Thanks to everyone at Brunswick Plantation for their contributions! It does “Take a Village”! Brunswick Plantation is a Very Giving Village!
CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME
