Hello to all! It is hard to believe the we are passed the halfway mark of the year here at Brunswick Plantation & Golf Resort. Our course is recovering from summer maintenance and I would like to thank Rob Vaughan and his staff for a job well done! The pro-shop has three new faces Terry Byrne, Fred Melnichak, and Jay Mulligan. Each one of them is a valuable part of my daily operations her at the resort. Stop by and say hello.
July tends to be a hot and humid time of year. Tips to prepare for your round of golf. Drink plenty of water the night before. Bring a banana, or apple to eat during your round. For me I like to eat peanut butter sandwiches’ and almonds. Almonds have a great source of energy. Beer and hotdogs are not a good choice while playing in the summer heat.
Tips to improve your Game
Did you know that Dave Pelz the number one short game instructor says that 60 t0 65 percent of all your shots during a round of golf are played from 100 yards or closer? Are you practicing the wrong things? I would say yes to most of you. If that is the case then my putting green and short game area should have a waiting list. Many of you practice your long game, try spending less time on the range and a lot more time at the short game area. I promise you will shave strokes off your game.
