The Coastal Carolina Tour of “The Warrior Ride”…October 13 – 17…A Healing Way to say “Thank You” to our Nation’s Heroes! Folks at Brunswick Plantation and Golf Resort ® were honored to have the Participants and their Staff and Caregivers, including one Seeing Eye & one Service Dog, stay three nights in the our Golf Villas.
The Brunswick Plantation “Wounded Warrior” Staff also sponsored a dinner to honor them at the Brunswick House on Friday, October 16th. It was an “Evening to Remember” as we dined with these esteemed men and women…Our National Treasures!
“The Warrior Ride” Tour Mission
“The Warrior Ride” is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization founded in Oak Island, North Carolina with a mission of rehabilitation for our wounded war heroes, by implementing challenging adaptive bicycling and morale events throughout the United States. It provides atmosphere of camaraderie and support . The Warrior Ride uses adaptive bicycling and other morale building events, such as kayaking and golf as a tool for recreation and rehabilitation. All expenses are paid through Donations and Grants.
The Warrior Ride Vision is to provide our nation’s wounded warriors the opportunity to find their own starting line for a New Future and to bring community support and awareness of the sacrifice our heroes make in their effort to keep Freedom Free and to offer communities the opportunity to “Thank” our Nation’s Heroes!

Wounded “Warrior Ride” Dinner @ Brunswick House
The Brunswick Plantation “Warrior Ride” dinner was held at the Brunswick House Ballroom. Dinner Buffet of Beef, Chicken, Shrimp with a variety of Sides & Desserts was catered by Jerome’s in Shallotte. Bob Racine, founder of the Wounded Warrior Ride, introduced the Wounded Warriors,who all extended their appreciation for the Warm Welcome to Brunswick Plantation. Warriors also told us with which Branch or Branches of Service they served. The warriors and folks at the Plantation, some who had also served in the military, were able to chat and connect with each other during an after dinner.
The Brunswick Plantation Residents Committee and Caw Caw Land. Corp. were among the sponsors who made this event possible. The Brunswick Plantation “Wounded Warriors” Staff , headed up by John & Gerry McGinley; share the work with Joyce & Wayne Billinger, Jim & Jeannette Shaughnessy, Paul Grove, Johnny Jones, & Monte Simpson for this event. The committee is already planning for next Year’s Carolina “Warrior Ride” event at Brunswick Plantation!
American Flags that lined the Warrior’s Route on the Plantation were donated by local Veterans organizations. United We Stand for Our Veterans! Together We Make a Difference!
